1. Give an Accent Wall Some Personality
In the grand scheme of things, painting an accent wall doesn’t cost a whole lot. It take a lot of time. Nor does it greatly invade your personal space. What an accent wall does do, is change things up. It delivers a bright pop of color that can re-make a room.
In 2018, bring a little something-something to your home with a freshly painted accent wall. Don’t be afraid to go big and bold on the color front. Because if you want to try a different color or go back to the original, it doesn’t require lots of work.
2. Create a Living Room You Actually Use
What is it with stuffy, uncomfortable living rooms folks seem to rarely (if ever) use? What a waste of space! In 2018, create a living room you actually use. Add layers of lighting. Make sure there’s plenty of air flow so the space doesn’t smell stale.
Focus on comfortable furniture. Add fun elements, such as games or conversation pieces. And, make the layout easy to navigate by providing adequate space for traffic flow.
